Engineering Technician

We seek one exceptional individual to join a new product development team based out of Monroe, NC. The Engineering Technician will be responsible for supporting engineering and production by building prototypes, conducting tests, analyzing results, and troubleshooting. The Engineering Technician will also be responsible for operating and maintaining various test equipment as needed for product verification and validation.

Technical Support Center:

Type: Full time | Education: Bachelor’s degree | Level: Experienced (non-manager)

Job Description:

• Provide commercial and technical quotations
• Offer technical support to customers and customer service
• Application engineering, analyze and size gearboxes based on customer project requirements
• Troubleshooting gearbox related problems by phone and on-site
• Technical outside sales support for our sales partner
• Provide product training to customers
• Review customer requirements and provide application assistance to the customer
• Attend and work at trade shows

Requirements:

• 1 - 3 years technical sales experience (preferred)
• Mechanical and/or electrical engineering or associate degree (preferred)
• Driven, self-starter with the ability to work independently
• Excellent time management, planning and organizational skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word & PowerPoint
• Experience with ERP systems (preferred)
• German language skills a plus, but certainly not required
• Willingness to travel (trade shows and occasional customer visits)

Sales Market Development Manager

Work with and ensure training readiness of any assigned representatives, assemblers and LARCs within the territory assigned to help advance their sales efforts of the LESER products.  Act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) with Partners (Manufacturers Representatives) calling directly on end-users, OEM accounts and Engineering, Procurement and Constructors (EPC’s) accounts to solicit business for the LESER products throughout a given geographical territory.  Provide feedback to LESER LLC management on progress of sales related efforts within defined territory.  Provide updates on target accounts, project pursuits, sales activities and competitive information as required.  Follow up on all action items created until completed.  Provide any additional project related tasks as necessary to acquire new business.

GENERAL JOB SUMMARY:

This employee will complete a wide range of responsibilities, including nationwide travel averaging 60% of the time, with the other 40% spent in-house locally in Monroe NC. The technician will work on complex OEM textile manufacturing equipment as a machinery mechanic / electrical tech to complete repair, maintenance, refurbishment, installation, and commissioning of machines onsite at the customer’s facilities. The employee will aid in the production of new machines and repair/refurbishment/maintenance of parts and machine subassemblies in the local company plant. Duties will also include calibration of both electrical PLC controls and machinery produced by the company, as well as troubleshooting and problem solving. All required work will be self-guided and managed, with the company expecting a high level of successful results.
