Machinery Field Service Technician
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Complete and submit field reports that capture all time and work completed onsite at customer facilities
- Provide diagnostic analysis, repair, or preventative maintenance for the company’s textile manufacturing machinery
- Complete onsite system audits and evaluations
- Be mechanically proficient using tools and machine assembly knowledge to aid in production, testing, and commissioning start-ups
- Self-manage execution of travel arrangements, schedules, maintenance plans, goal achievement, and other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ability to travel an average of 60% of time
- Ability to work up to 12 hours days, either in-house or in the field
- Machine Diagnostics and Troubleshooting – MUST have Strong Electrical Background !
- Understanding of machine Blueprints, Electrical schematics, and other design documents
- Working knowledge of machine Electrical Controls including PLC Programming (Company Uses Automation-Direct PLC’s and Parker SSD Drives)
- Ability to bring and use One’s OWN hand Tools – MUST!
- Process and Mechanical Aptitude for complete machine set-up and disassembly
- Working knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics
- 5+ years experience working with machinery, including electrical drives and controls
- 2+ years experience performing Field Service
- Strong Written and Verbal Communication
- Proficient with computers, MS Office Suite
