Job Description
Local machinery company is seeking an Electrical Service Technician to complete the assembly of drive panels, electronic circuit testing & repair, cable assembly and testing, wiring of sensors and control system on machinery under construction on systems designed and manufactured by them. Field service work and service calls area also involved with this position. This is a full-time, hourly position with benefits. Mechanical aptitude is also required.
Duties and responsibilities will include the following:
- Must be organized and structured and have a heads down approach to tasks and projects.
- Develop a working knowledge of our current control panels, as well as how to assemble and wire them from our electrical prints and instructions.
- Proficient in wire stripping, connector installation, soldering, operation of AMP style connector machines, and crimping multi-conductor and communication cables with hand-held specialty tools.
- Execute wiring interconnect & termination requirements for in-house performance testing and break-in of newly manufactured machinery on the factory floor.
- Troubleshoot and correct any discrepancies found in the start-up and testing procedures.
- Most importantly, be a TEAM player and be able to accurately and concisely communicate with managers, customers, other departments, and team members.
- Willing and able to travel to customer plants, mainly the Eastern Seaboard, but all of North America is also possible. Per diem and mileage compensation is included.
- MUST have a VALID DRIVERS LICENSE.
Background check will be performed prior to receiving a written offer letter for full-time employment.
