What You’ll Do

As the Chief Estimator - Mission Critical, you will lead the estimating team, oversee the bid process, and drive cost strategies to secure and execute major projects successfully.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and mentor the Mission Critical Estimating team, ensuring top performance and professional development.

  • Lead bid strategies, balancing resources and time to optimize outcomes.

  • Develop and refine estimating tools, templates, and reports to enhance efficiency.

  • Oversee detailed unit cost pricing, including material take-offs, labor estimates, and subcontractor pricing.

  • Ensure timely and competitive bid submissions, reviewing final plans, specifications, and trade scope summaries.

  • Collaborate with leadership to refine estimating and pre-construction strategies, including fee recommendations and value management.

What You Bring to the Table

  • Experience: 10+ years in estimating Mission Critical or highly complex projects that are $100M+ in scope.

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field.

  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and develop a high-performing team.

  • Technical Expertise: Deep understanding of construction documents, quantity take-offs, and cost analysis.

  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to analyze market conditions, optimize bid strategies, and maximize profitability.

  • Communication Excellence: Strong ability to engage with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams.
