Position Description

The duties of Warehouse coordinator provide oversee and support day-to-day warehouse operations. This position is responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy, coordinating the front and rear warehouse spaces, managing reshipments and restocking processes, and ensuring efficient product placement and organization. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in inventory, material handling, and shipping, with the ability to step in and provide coverage as needed.

 

Major Areas of Responsibility

Major areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to:

  • Safety minded in all work activities; suggest and recommend safety initiatives; commitment to safe work habits, maintaining work are organized aligned with 5S.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and manage inventory control processes.
  • Coordinate operations in the front warehouse to ensure efficient workflows.
  • Create and assign new storage locations for incoming products.
  • Maintain and organize product placement in the rear warehouse.
  • Manage and process reshipments in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Restock VOMI (Vendor-Owned Managed Inventory) pick locations as needed.
  • Serve as a backup for warehouse staff during call-outs or absences.
  • Other duties as assigned by managers.

 

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

This position requires the following essential knowledge, skills, and abilities in order to satisfactorily fulfill the role:

•   Proficient in operating a forklift in a warehouse environment.

•   Capable of using basic hand tools (e.g., screwdrivers, wrenches, drills).

•   Proficient in Microsoft Outlook (email communication) and Excel (data entry and inventory tracking).

•   Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.

•   Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively.

•   Excellent communication and team collaboration abilities.

 

Education and Experience

•   High school diploma or GED required.

•   Minimum of 3 years of experience in inventory management.

•   Minimum of 3 years of experience in material handling.

•   Minimum of 3 years of experience in shipping processes.

•   Forklift certification or experience required.
