Location: Dallas, NC (Gastonia, NC area).

We specialize in designing and manufacturing systems and tools using diamond and tungsten carbide, making us an internationally sought-after specialist for cutting, milling, and drilling tools synonymous with precision. 

The Dallas, NC location specializes in refurbishing previously sold products. While all manufacturing occurs in Germany, the Dallas facility plays a crucial role in maintaining product quality by regrinding (sharpening) tools after extensive use.

 

Position: CNC Milling - Machinist | Setup Technician

 

Job Description:

 

We are seeking a well-rounded CNC Machinist or Setup Technician to join our client's dynamic and fast-paced team. Responsibilities:

  • Setup, operate, and program CNC machines to produce high-quality parts according to customer specifications.
  • Read and interpret schematics and blueprints.
  • Calibrate machines to ensure optimal performance.
  • Fabricate parts using CNC and manual equipment, including lathes, mills, grinders, tapping, milling, de-burring, and drilling.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during production.
  • Perform routine maintenance and inspections on CNC machines to reduce breakdowns.
  • Work collaboratively with other members of the production team to meet project deadlines and quality standards.
  • Continuously improve processes and procedures to increase efficiency and productivity.
  • Always maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Transport heavy equipment with a forklift.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience working on CNC milling machines and with NC-codes (must be able to adjust CNC programs).
  • Experience in precision milling and/or grinding; turning experience is a plus.
  • Detail-oriented and reliable.
  • Experience working with very tight tolerances is a plus.
  • A forklift operator license would be beneficial.

Education and Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years of CNC experience with decent programming skills (able to adjust CNC programs).
  • Experience in reading schematics, machine calibration, and parts fabrication.
  • Proficient in equipment setup and operation of CNC and manual machines.
  • Familiarity with tapping, milling, de-burring, and drilling.
  • Forklift operator license.
  • Graduated from the Apprenticeship 2000 program or equivalent (preferable).
