Job Description
Job Title: Electrical Engineer
Location: Charlotte, NC
Key Responsibilities:
- Design & Development: Lead the design and development of electrical systems for textile machinery.
- Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Provide hands-on support for troubleshooting electrical issues in textile machinery, ensuring minimal downtime. Implement preventative maintenance procedures.
- System Integration: Coordinate and oversee the integration of electrical control systems (PLC, HMI, VFD) into new or existing textile machinery and ensure the optimization of electrical performance.
- Automation & Control Systems: Work with PLC programming and other automation systems, enhancing machinery operations and functionality for improved productivity and efficiency.
- Testing & Validation: Conduct testing and validation of electrical components and systems to ensure compliance with industry standards and internal specifications.
- Documentation: Prepare and maintain accurate documentation for all electrical designs, schematics, control systems, and electrical maintenance procedures.
- Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with production, design, and quality teams to deliver projects on time and meet customer requirements.
Requirements:
- Experience:
Experience in electrical engineering, specifically within the industrial machinery sector. - Skills:
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, controls, and automation.
- Experience with PLC programming, HMI, and VFDs.
- Siemens TIA, Allen Bradley, Ignition, Wonderware
- Proficiency in CAD software for electrical design (e.g., AutoCAD, EPLAN).
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes and industrial machinery.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Travel required 60%: travel will be within NC, SC, VA, and TN and will be primarily during the work week.
