Job Title: Electrical Engineer 

Location: Charlotte, NC

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design & Development: Lead the design and development of electrical systems for textile machinery.
  • Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Provide hands-on support for troubleshooting electrical issues in textile machinery, ensuring minimal downtime. Implement preventative maintenance procedures.
  • System Integration: Coordinate and oversee the integration of electrical control systems (PLC, HMI, VFD) into new or existing textile machinery and ensure the optimization of electrical performance.
  • Automation & Control Systems: Work with PLC programming and other automation systems, enhancing machinery operations and functionality for improved productivity and efficiency.
  • Testing & Validation: Conduct testing and validation of electrical components and systems to ensure compliance with industry standards and internal specifications.
  • Documentation: Prepare and maintain accurate documentation for all electrical designs, schematics, control systems, and electrical maintenance procedures.
  • Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with production, design, and quality teams to deliver projects on time and meet customer requirements.

 

Requirements:

  • Experience:
    Experience in electrical engineering, specifically within the industrial machinery sector.
  • Skills:
    • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, controls, and automation.
    • Experience with PLC programming, HMI, and VFDs.
    • Siemens TIA, Allen Bradley, Ignition, Wonderware
    • Proficiency in CAD software for electrical design (e.g., AutoCAD, EPLAN).
    • Familiarity with manufacturing processes and industrial machinery.
    • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Travel required 60%: travel will be within NC, SC, VA, and TN and will be primarily during the work week.
